Indie band Peace have unveiled the video for their latest single “Money”. The single is taken from their forthcoming second LP due to be released this summer. The track further takes them away from the sound of their first album, but less so that the first single “World Pleasure”.
Both, however, remain instantly catchy. Whilst “World Pleasure” had the first half of Robbie Williams and a Primal Scream-esque riff at the end for good measure, the latest offering from the Birmingham group has an almost Pop Funk feel to it, especially the high pitched vocals and dance-y guitar.
The band have previously spoken about how their second album is more “refined” with the lyrics “more thought out” than before. “Money” displays this, taking a dig at people surrounded by and living their life over the one goal of acquiring as much money as possible. Peace are certainly not that band, with their music less concerned about popularity and self-indulgence.
If the second album has more songs like the first two we have heard, then we are certainly in for an indie treat. Take a listen to the song below, and watch out for a rather dapper cameo by the band below in the video. Enjoy!
