PREVIEW: Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales @ The Old Market, 23-27/11/2018

The Verse’s Gem Turner previews Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales at The Old Market on 23-27 November 2018.

Jinkx Monsoon, winner of season five of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and America’s next Drag Superstar is about to return to Brighton. Accompanied by Major Scales, it will be an evening of music, dazzling entertainment and therapy as Jinkx and Major Scales showcase their new material for all their fans.

Jinkx Monsoon aka Jerick Hoffer graduated with a degree in theatrical performance from Cornish College in Seattle. Also, he won the hearts of the public on season five of Ru Paul’s Drag Race with his quirky persona and his openness about having narcolepsy. Hoffer is a Portland-born entertainer who has captured the attention of his native northwest region. With his latest release ‘Ginger Snapped’.

Major Scales is the alter-ego of Richard Andriessen, a musician, writer and performer based in Seattle. He has written everything from award-winning New York shows on to music for amateur adult films. Brighton’s Old Market is the perfect host to this fabulous show. We are certain it will be anything but “water off a duck’s back”.
