STUDENT VOICE: University of Brighton – Headstart Employability Event

The University of Brighton would like to invite students to Falmer campus for Headstart, an employability event run by students.

The event will consist of presentations by a group of students about the different placements that they have recently completed. This includes what they have learnt and how they developed both personally and professionally.

A panel of host employees and alumni (past students) will then take questions about what they look for when taking someone on for a placement. The alumni will motivate you to see what is possible when leaving university – with or without a placement. Confirmed speakers are Susan Bentley from Active Student, Jocelyn Read from Bridge Community Centre and Isheeta Mustafi from Quinton Publishing.

Headstart will take place on the 14th of May at 1 pm in Checkland Building, University of Brighton, Falmer campus. The area will be signposted and easy to find. We will include refreshments and a break, and entry is FREE!

There is no need to formally register, but you can let us know if you are interested in attending on our Facebook event. Hope to see you there!
