Brighton band Half Crown release new single Start It Up – listen here

After the band’s PledgeMusic campaign smashed its target earlier this year, the promised release of Brighton indie five-piece Half Crown has been highly anticipated – and it’s finally dropped.

Continuing their DIY ethos, the crowdfunded project is now live with double A side single Start It Up/32 Teeth, the accompanying music video boasting impressive visuals that perfectly compliment the lyrical content of the track.

With inspirations from David Bowie to Andre 3000, Half Crown’s unique mix of rock and rap has already caught the attention of the likes of BBC Introducing, Clash and The Unsigned Music Awards. They’ve also been sponsored by Virgin Entertainment to do an LA tour, making 2017 a likely breakthrough year for the band, who play their final show of the year at the Green Door Store on the 15th December.
