Disruptor: Pickpockets Plus Support at The Hope and Ruin

Need to blow off some steam and take a break from studying? Head to the Hope and Ruin on 14th May to catch the up-and-coming indie-rock group Pickpockets and support. The Pickpockets are a local group made up of four musicians who have been inspired by the likes of The Libertines, Jake Bugg, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles and The Clash to name a few. Their fast-paced indie-rock tunes will get your feet tapping and your head banging. You can check out their new single Breaking Point on Spotify.

Pickpockets will be supported by four other local acts. Hyla Brook is a four-piece alternative rock band that infuses blues, punk and indie-rock. Loud Talk, an energetic four-piece group that will be bringing indie pop/rock tunes into the mix. Destructible Environment, made of two University of Brighton students who create hip-hop grooves with guitar loops and beat-boxing. Also, Danny and The Husbands will be the final support group, an art-punk, a politically charged band that take influence from IDLES, Blur and Heavy Lungs.

The show will run from 7:30 pm – 11 pm at the Hope and Ruin on Tuesday, May 14th. Tickets are £8.50 and can be purchased online or at the door. See you there!
