Singer–songwriter Ady Suleiman appears at The Haunt on the 12th of October performing his youthful and honest self written melodies.
The infectious jams of the Nottingham born musician made an impact on my music library after watching a YouTube video that he released in 2012. The video saw Ady performing one of his now most listened to singles ‘State of mind’ on a train. Inarguably cool and incredibly raw, it was obvious that he was an expressive individual with some very crafty lyrics.
After being spotted by BBC Introducing’s Dean Jackson, 23-year-old Ady has supported the likes of Laura Mvula and Lianne Le Havas on tour and claimed the Giles Peterson Worldwide Awards ‘Breakthrough Act of the Year’. Ady has efficaciously displayed his capabilities as a sharp songwriter and charming performer.
Following his past two EP releases, this summer Ady has released his debut single ‘Running Away’. Produced by Jonny Coffer (Beyonce, Naughty Boy) and the video directed by Director X (Rihanna, Drake), ‘Running Away’ marks Ady as one of the most unique and innovative current UK artists.
Whilst headlining a tour across the UK with support from the likes of Mahalia and Zilo, Ady is encouraging the delicate, yet bubbly acoustic soul music he is so talented at producing.
Ady Suleiman comes to Brighton’s The Haunt on Wednesday 12th October. You can get yourself a ticket online here .
