Derbyshire is home to Y Not. The medium-sized festival that continues to grow year after year. Despite being many moons away from Brighton, Y Not Festival is definitely worth a few hours on a coach to the Peak District, and needs to be experienced by every festival loving music fan.
Falling on the 27th-30th of July, this years line up includes headliners The Vaccines, Stereophonics and Two Door Cinema Club who play with Clean Bandit, Happy Mondays, Slaves, Frank Turner, Example, Black Honey, Jaguar Skills, The Magic Gang, Jaws and loads more. Make sure to get your Thursday early entry ticket to bag a great spot close to the arena and catch Feeder. For the second year running now Y Not have teamed up with BIMM to showcase some of the countries best fresh talent. Check out Fur, Moonoversun, Crimsons and support new artists, you never know where they will be in a few year time!
Although it’s almost guaranteed to rain for half of the weekend, going up North for Y Not Festival is so much better because of it, these Northerners know how to party. Expect pyrotechnics and chanting all weekend long and the fun goes long into the night where you can stay up dancing till the early hours at Gold City.
In the daytime relax and have a few drinks in the campsite, or head to the arena where you can catch a movie at the Nighthawk Cinema or even get involved in the yearly paint fights or have a go on some rides. With a huge selection of food truck across the campsite, theres something for everyone and we can almost guarantee you will wake up each day regretting buying another falafel wrap whilst drunk-but it was just so good!
Stock up on glitter and booze as a weekend at Y Not Festival is guaranteed to be one to remember.
