PREVIEW: Foodies Festival, Hove Lawns, 30/4/2016-2/5/2016

Have you done this week’s big food shop yet? Perhaps you should hold on before you start cooking at home and instead head down to Hove Lawns this weekend, as the UK’s biggest food and drink festival, Foodies Festival, prepares to return to our city for the 11th time.

With a jam-packed calendar of events, the annual Foodies Festival is set to bring some of the finest Michelin-star chefs, celebrity chefs, award-winning artisan producers and a hell of a lot of drink tasting to Hove Lawns from Saturday 30 Apr – Monday 2 May. For adventure lovers, there will be the highly anticipated Chilli Eating Challenge, and brand-new Bug Eating competition.

If you don’t fancy burning your tongue, then Street Food Avenue offers huge array of international cuisines with a special dedication to everything Brazilian, so make sure you don’t miss out on those caipirinhas! Top bakers, cake makers and a master chocolatier will be inspiring visitors and sharing their baking secrets at the Cake, Bake and Tasting Theatre. For the traditionalists, of course, there will be a Vintage Tea Room to enjoy your afternoon tea. If you’ve got little ones in tow (or are a big kid yourself), the festival is child-friendly and has prepared great variety of activities at the Children’s Cooking Theatre.

This weekend, Foodies Festival is taking care of everything culinary and, to maximize your satisfaction, they have prepared a Live Music Stage with local award-winning artists where you can enjoy your afternoon aperitif.

Foodies Festival takes place this weekend at Hove Lawns, Saturday 30th April – Monday 2nd April. Doors open at 11am each day. Tickets are on sale now at £11 per day or £16 for a weekend ticket with student ID at www.foodiesfestival.com.
